Wildflower Day Nurseries offer calm, thoughtful early-years environments. Rooted in care and designed to give every child room to grow.
Enquire about a spaceFrom the very beginning, children are driven to explore, question, and make sense of the world around them. Given the right environment, that natural curiosity grows into confidence, independence, and a genuine love of learning.
At Wildflower Day Nurseries & Preschools, we create spaces where that can happen every day. Calm, thoughtful environments where children feel comfortable enough to be themselves, and interested enough to keep discovering.
We spark curiosity that lasts a lifetime through meaningful interactions, natural exploration, and a deep understanding of how children learn and grow.
In practice, that means slowing things down and paying attention to what matters. You might see a practitioner sitting alongside a child, following their lead as they build, mix, or explore. Or a small group completely absorbed in an activity they have chosen themselves, returning to it again and again.
We do not rush children from one thing to the next. We give them time to think, try, and figure things out in their own way.
Children develop best when they are given space to grow in their own way.
Our environments are designed to feel calm and considered, without unnecessary noise or distraction. This helps children stay engaged, concentrate for longer, and feel more settled throughout the day.
Where possible, we bring elements of the natural world into everyday play and learning. Not as a theme or a display, but as something children can experience and interact with in a real way.
Every child is supported by a key person who takes the time to really get to know them. Their routines, their preferences, the things that comfort them, and the things that spark their interest.
These relationships are at the centre of everything we do. They help children settle more easily, build trust, and feel secure enough to explore confidently.
For parents, it also means there is always someone who understands your child and can share their day with you in a meaningful way.
Food is a central part of the nursery day.
Meals are freshly prepared and designed to be balanced, familiar, and enjoyable. Children sit together in a calm setting, learning through shared experiences, trying new foods, and building independence over time.
For many families, this becomes an important and reassuring part of their child's routine.
We care for children aged 6 months to 5 years, supporting them through each stage as they grow. Each stage builds naturally on the one before it, with continuity in relationships and approach.

David Hancock
Chairman, Wildflower Day Nurseries
As a child growing up in rural Nottinghamshire, I spent much of my time outdoors. Days were often spent exploring, building dens, and simply being outside for hours at a time.
Those experiences stayed with me. They shaped how I think about childhood and what it should feel like.
Today, life looks different for many families. Time outdoors is more limited, and opportunities for unstructured play are not always easy to come by.
At Wildflower, we try to bring elements of that experience back in a way that feels natural and achievable. Giving children the space to explore, to be curious, and to enjoy simple moments that stay with them.
When children leave us for school, what matters most is that they carry those experiences with them. A sense of confidence, familiarity, and positive memories of their early years.
The best way to understand how a nursery feels is to visit. Meet the team, see the rooms in action, and ask any questions about your child's routine, settling in, or availability.
